Expected Impact

Turning Multimodal XR Research into Practical European Value

SENSORAMA combines technical ambition with measurable validation and responsible implementation. The project will assess performance, usability, learning value, stakeholder engagement and ethical safeguards throughout its 36-month duration.

Scientific and Technological Impact

The project will advance multimodal data representation, low-latency synchronization, haptic and thermal rendering, spatial audio, biofeedback and adaptive interaction. Open software and scientific publications will make the results available for further research and development.

Training and Skills Impact

Five training applications will demonstrate how realistic sensory feedback and adaptive scenarios can support procedural practice, practical skills and repeatable learning in healthcare, education and manufacturing.

Economic and Industrial Impact

Open and interoperable SDKs and APIs will lower integration barriers for developers and SMEs. Hardware innovations, software modules and validated training applications will create routes towards new products, services, licensing models and deployment partnerships.

Societal, Ethical and Policy Impact

SENSORAMA will promote human-centric XR through privacy, informed consent, diversity, accessibility, safety and independent ethical oversight. The project will also contribute to policy dialogue and standardisation for trustworthy European Virtual Worlds.
